Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor – Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey
We require an Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor in our Kingston upon Thames office in Surrey. You will be working for a private practice of Chartered Surveyors.
You will be undertaking both pre and post contract duties on a range of interesting projects ranging in value from £100k to £5m within the Private and Affordable Housing, Health and Leisure and Commercial sectors of the industry.

Either an interest in or some experience in Project Partnering Contracts would be beneficial but not essential.
An advanced knowledge of CDM co-ordinator duties would also be an advantage.
The salary is negotiable dependant on experience, but will include a bonus scheme, car allowance, RICS membership fees paid and a stakeholder pension.
The position available
The Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working as a project surveyor reporting to a director on projects both locally and across the UK. The position offers the opportunity of future career development.
Ideally you should be MRICS Chartered QS, however we provide an excellent structured training programme for those undertaking their APC training. You should have a minimum of two years industry experience.

CDM Coordinator and Health & Safety Advisor - Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey
You will take day to day responsibility for the role of CDMC on projects and report directly to the Health and Safety Director. Your duties will include:
- Guidance and advice to Clients in order to allow them to comply with their statutory duties under CDM 2007.
- Liaison with the relevant duty holders to facilitate the coordinators for design work, planning and preparation for construction throughout the projects with respect to health and safety matters.
- Management of the flow of information within project teams including Client, Designers and Contractors Ensuring that the required documentation for each project is prepared, reviewed and issued for each project including F10 Notification, Pre-construction Information and Health & Safety File
- Review of the Initial Construction Phase Plan to advise on its suitability including arrangements with regard to provision of adequate welfare facilities etc.
- Undertaking site safety monitoring and auditing on projects.
- Advising Contractors on their health & safety management policies and arrangements.
- Preparing draft Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans.
You will have a thorough working knowledge and practical experience of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations and an understanding of health & safety issues within design & construction processes. NEBOSH Construction Certificate, Membership of the Health & Safety Register, RMaPS and MIOSH would be a distinct advantage
You will be based in our Kingston upon Thames Office. Our current client base is varied and includes projects ranging in value from £100,000 to £3million, within retail, leisure, commercial, education and residential sectors.
